Precious angel, under the sun
How was I to know you’d be the one
To show me I was blinded, to show me I was gone
How weak was the foundation I was standing upon?
Now there’s spiritual warfare and flesh and blood breaking down
Ya either got faith or ya got unbelief and there ain’t no neutral ground
The enemy is subtle, how be it we are so deceived
When the truth’s in our hearts and we still don’t believe?
How was I to know you’d be the one
To show me I was blinded, to show me I was gone
How weak was the foundation I was standing upon?
Now there’s spiritual warfare and flesh and blood breaking down
Ya either got faith or ya got unbelief and there ain’t no neutral ground

When the truth’s in our hearts and we still don’t believe?
Love and Life
George Frederic Watts RA (1817-1904)
1885
"Love, strong in his immortal youth, leads Life, a slight female figure, along the steep uphill path; with his broad wings he shelters her, that the winds of heaven may not visit her too roughly. Violets spring where Love has trod, and as they ascend to the mountain top the air becomes more and more golden. The implication is that, without the aid of Divine Love, fragile Human Life could not have power to ascend the steep path upward. First exhibited at the Grosvenor Gallery in 1885. Companion picture to 'Love and Death,' and 'Love Triumphant.'"
William Loftus Hare: Watts (1817-1904). Full text at Project Gutenberg.
Shine your light, shine your light on me
Shine your light, shine your light on me
Shine your light, shine your light on me
Ya know I just couldn’t make it by myself
I’m a little too blind to see

My so-called friends have fallen under a spell
They look me squarely in the eye and they say, “All is well”
Can they imagine the darkness that will fall from on high
When men will beg God to kill them and they won’t be able to die?
Dante Alighieri and his muse Beatrice Portinari.

You were drawing water for your husband, you were suffering under the law
You were telling him about Buddha, you were telling him about Mohammed
in the same breath
You never mentioned one time the Man who came and died a criminal’s death

The dilemma of choice between worldy delights and spiritual fulfillment, a theme popular with Victorian painters and their public, in melodramatic counterpoint: a nun kneels in ecstacy before a vision of the angel of the Annunciation while a figure dances sensuously in the background. It was 'the Picture of the Year' at the Royal Academy.
Precious angel, you believe me when I say
What God has given to us no man can take away
We are covered in blood, girl, you know our forefathers were slaves
Let us hope they’ve found mercy in their bone-filled graves
Unknown
You’re the queen of my flesh, girl, you’re my woman, you’re my delight
You’re the lamp of my soul, girl, and you torch up the night
But there’s violence in the eyes, girl, so let us not be enticed
On the way out of Egypt, through Ethiopia, to the judgment hall of Christ

Yofiel is invoked as an amulet angel. An angel of presence or angel of glory, the highest order of angels who reveal the purpose or mystery of God to people. Yofiel, angel of divine beauty, is also known as Yefefiah the angel prince of the Torah. In the Zohar, Yofiel is a great angelic chief with 53 legions of lesser hierarchs serving him. In the cabala, Yofiel is the spirit of the planet Jupiter.
Jophiel, one of the seven Archangels, is the angel of judgement, the angel of paradise believed to have guarded the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden. His name means "Beauty of God" and he is also the Patron Angel of Artists. He has a strong interest in beauty, and can be invoked by anyone involved in creating beauty in any form. Jophiel helps people who are using their creativity. You should call on him whenever you need help with a creative project.
Another possible name for Jophiel is Dina of the seventh heaven who was a Cabalistic guardian of the Torah (and wisdom itself). She taught 70 languages to souls at the dawn of creation, a guiding, teaching, inspirer of the pursuit of wisdom. She is listed as possibly being Yefefiah or Iofiel and seems to share many comparisons with him.
