Robert M. Place has designed five published Tarot decks, The Alchemical Tarot, The Tarot of the Saints, The Buddha Tarot, The Vampire Tarot,and The Angels Tarot. This deck will be his sixth. It is titled The Tarot of the Sevenfold Mystery. Illustrations form this deck have been used in an advertising campaign and have won a 2004 ADDY award from the American Advertising Federation and they have been the subject of an article in the January 28, 2010, Los Angeles Times.

The Tarot of the Saints is a deck grounded in neo-Platonic philosophy, early Christian Gnosticism, and the iconography of Saints. Using the stories, images, and lives of saints from around the world, Robert M. Place conveys the meanings of symbolism of the Tarot. Such saints include St. Sophia as the World and St. Francis as the Fool, each shown with symbolism appropriate to the card as well as traditional imagery associated with them. The Minor Arcana do not depict only the imagery of saints, but instead show various saints in their stories: St. Peter washing Christ's Feet, for instance. Stories from the Bible are also present in the cards, and concepts from Christian theology (such as the Immaculate Heart of Mary).
The deck comes packaged with a book that examines the development of some Tarot iconography through history (the World in particular), as well as explaining the influences on the deck (Gnosticism, mysticism, etc) and the meanings behind the cards themselves.
